As of my last update in September 2021, Wipro, the Indian IT company, follows the maternity leave rules set by the Indian government in the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017. Here's a breakdown of the key points in their maternity leave policy: Duration of Maternity Leave: The law allows a maximum of 26 weeks (or six and a half months) for maternity leave, covering time both before and after childbirth. Leave Before Delivery: Pregnant employees can take up to eight weeks of leave before their expected delivery date. Leave After Delivery: After giving birth, employees can take up to 18 weeks (about four and a half months) of maternity leave. Maternity Leave Pay: Wipro may offer paid leave during maternity leave. The payment rate might depend on the company's policies and the employee's tenure. Flexibility: The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act also allows some flexibility. For example, if the employee chooses, she
